My Introduction

These blogs will include a number of ideas and facts that I found important as I took on the daunting task of researching why women still not given equal rights. As I begin my series of blog posts, I feel I should introduce some of the topics I plan on discussing, which are…

1. Women’s rights and the Women’s Rights Movement as a whole

2. Women’s rights compared to those of men globally and especially in the workplace

3. What we as average people can do to solve these problems

I have always had an interest in the Women’s Right Movement and the ideas of the leaders and supporters. I have known almost my whole life that in and out of the workplace globally women are not treated as equals by the coworkers around them and the staff above them, especially when it comes to hours and pay. Although women’s rights activists have taken strides in the past decade, there is still so much that could be done. But the question of will anyone ever actually make that change happen still stands and frankly no one knows the answer either.

While my interest in this topic is far greater than the average persons, I still feel as though sharing the information I have gathered is beneficial to the cause because after people like you read this, more people know of the unfair rights given to women every day. Although I feel I know a great deal about the topic, I am excited to see what I learn throughout this research process. While writing these is not so easy for me, I feel getting to write about a topic I care about so deeply will push me to create meaningful blog posts that I am proud of.
